Another wonderful lesson from our favorite art website: Art Projects for Kids. We learned a little bit about the artist, Jasper Johns, who is best known for his number and map art. He took everyday items not thought of as art and created paintings with gridded, repetitive numbers and maps that sell for unbelievably large amounts of money. Though our art is considerably different than Johns, I think I like it better! We love working with our oil pastels as they create such rich colors on the page. I hope they remember me when they're famous...
